Foster Care Fortnight is about saying thank you to foster carers who open their homes and their lives.
To teams across our 15 local authorities who support them, day in, day out.
And to the wider communities across the South West who help children feel safe, valued and supported.
This year, we’re shining a light on fostering as a truly regional effort — rooted in local places, but united by shared purpose.
Fostering with your local council
When you foster with your local council, you’re part of a community‑rooted network that puts children at the centre and supports you every step of the way. You don’t need to be extraordinary – you just need to show up with stability, kindness and the willingness to offer a child the moments they deserve.

- Training and ongoing support
- Financial allowances
- Dedicated social worker guidance
